The Canon Speedlite Transmitter's model number is the ST-E2.  
Alternatively it's possible to use a 550EX flash on the camera (with 
the flash itself turned off if required) to fire the other flashes.  
Supposedly it's range for firing other flashes is longer than the 
transmitter.

However, the transmitter is smaller and of course cheaper.  It does get 
through a lot of expensive 2CR5 batteries though (I can't imagine why 
Canon used this instead of AAs...).
