It would be a wonderful world if there were perfect lenses. I've used Leica and Zeiss lenses most of my life and even they are not without problems. These days the zoom lens complicates the quest for a perfect lens too. Many zooms are very good but leave something to be desired at one point or another. Then there are the digital sensors that require lenses to be different as well. So, I honestly believe that a touch of software to solve these small problems is a good thing.
