My old Pentium II computer, running WIN 98 is stuck in 16 colors and won't let me change it to 256. When I change it and restart, which seems to take a long time, it boots up in 16 colors again. Also, lately, when it boots up, it brings up the Startup Menu and asks me to select Normal, Safe Mode, etc. If I don't select anything, it boots up Normal anyway. It never used to do this. Anybody have any ideas what might be wrong? Are these two symptoms connected? TIA
