I have just installed a Lyson CIS on my Epson 1160 using the Lyson Fotonic inkset. Installation seemed to go well with the ink lines filling instantaneously after priming the system. However the nozzle check, although giving me a perfect colour printout is showing absolutely nothing of the black ink.
Lyson suggested removing the black cartridge and immediately replacing it to ensure that the plastic seal had been properly pierced and also to raise the black ink bottle 2-3 inches whilst performing a cleaning cycle. Unfortunately neither of these suggestions has been successful. Oddly enough I tried printing a text document using the colour option in the print driver and although no text appeared (either colour or black) the printout showed one black ruled line??? At least this shows that black ink line is working but why is there nothing appearing for the black ink on the nozzle check printout? Any suggestions gratefully received.
