Hi You are spot on with the uploading to websites idea. FTP (file transfer protocol) has been around for ages and fetch <http://www.fetchsoftworks.com/> is indeed a venerable (and still very good) client.
The security of ftp is excellent, you just need to set up accounts and maybe maximum storage limits.
