If you build custom profiles of any kind, you have to work with something else than camera raw. Unless you build a profile on top of the data extracted from camera raw...
Either you use profiles, OR you use camera Raw...
How about if you left "Adjust" in Camera Raw to Camera Default, export to TIFF, then use this file to build a profile. As long as you don't subsequently touch the "adjust" settings for future pictures, wouldn't that work?
Otherwise I can't see how you'd get a file out of a Nikon, Fuji, or whatever to profile...
