When a flat panel display is run at a lower resolution the

connected to a Formac 17" VGA flat panel,it looked awful. For a sample of
what to expect, drop the resolution of your iBook down to 800 x 600 and you
will see what I mean. I think you will find 15" flat panel displays that run
at 1024 x 768, but then you don't gain much space over the iBook's display.
I had a quick look for the spec of the LCDVM91, but couldn't find it.

Thanks for your help
The Mitsubishi will supposedly run 1024x768, (native is 1280x1024.) Is it always poor quality? I have a Formac 17 inch which only has one resolution and I could not get it to work (It would have been ideal). I suspected it was a resolution mismatch problem, but maybe I have some dodgy connectors, I am not after extra space as such, just a profiled screen that I can take with me on location on occasion. The smaller screens all seem to have lower contrast 250-300:1 as against 700:1 for the 19 inch.
