Yes indeed it does but frigs are generally designed to make use of this so the refrigeration unit is at the top [ the cold box for making ice cubes etc ] and then utilises the fact that air chilled there then falls down wards. So the cold air does indeed fall to the bottom but the top is still the coldest part.
Suspect we are getting seriously off topic here so suggest that before List-Mom accuses of producing too much hot air we desist!
