By my rough calculations, you need to open Photoshop 4 times a day for 550
days before you pay �1 a day for an upgrade. Seen another way, an upgrade
costs just 22p a day but as people miss upgrades, it can work out even
cheaper. 

Now, if you fix/manipulate 5-500 images a day and as a result earn �250-1500
a day, that's bloody good value for 22p! <g>

If you also earn money by teaching Photoshop or earn �90 an hour for
retouching, it's pretty good profit in any accountant's books over the life
of the software. And remember, there are people out there who are still
using Photoshop 3.0 | 4.0.
