"SharpRawPro from Logical Designs lets you choose detailed options for your
bayer interpolation.",Jan

Thanks Jan thats just the sort of thing I was looking for although I was
hoping for freeware :)

"I am intrigued why you want to convert your files this way
though...",Richard Earney

I was looking into the relative benefits of the Foveon sensor vs the Bayer
method of recording colour images from which I came to the conclusion that
pixel for pixel the Foveon chip is biased towards recording colour detail
wheras the Bayer method is biased towards detail.  Looking into this and
with my camera in mind (canon 10d) I'm finding that there are a lot of
automatic processes that I know nothing about that I may be able to tweak to
get me a better image.  I certainly didn't know there were different ways of
making the image from a RAW file, I actually didn't know you HAD TO a week
ago.

Cheers
Keith
