Hello All, I'm currently using a Formac 17/600 ProNitron monitor with my Mac which has given me excellent service over the years. I am looking to replace it soon as it is beginning to behave rather erratically, the main problem being that it decides to switch off itself.
I also have a Apple Studio display plus a new 15" Powerbook both of which I have tried to calibrate but never with any satisfaction. The PowerBook is brilliant in all respects apart from the fact that when I calibrate the screen and try to adjust the images they look fine on screen but print too dark. When I view the same images on my CRT indeed they are dark and once adjusted print fine. The same is true for the Apple display. As I am looking to replace my CRT I would like to know from the list if laptops and flat panel displays can be calibrated to the same sort of levels of accuracy as CRTs or whether CRTs are the way to go for optimum colour management. I've got my eye on the LaCie Electron Blue and would appreciate any feedback or recommendations. Also, any feedback on the Spyder2Pro, price is very reasonable but is it any good? Many thanks Bob Johns =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
