Simon,

I evaluated results from the prototype of SizeFixer in April/May 2004 in trials against all the usual suspects and was convinced at that point to continue financing the development. So far as I am aware this is the first commercial product to use super-resolution techniques, although the fallback method if the exif data is missing is based on Lanczos. SizeFixer matches or exceeds any of the "mature" products out there and this is just its first release. The only con is the time it currently takes to generate a result (typically about 15 minutes for a 6Mpixel image), but this will be addressed in the next release. The results are worth the wait.

We at FixerLabs have a new product, SizeFixer SLR, that would be ideal for upsizing a D100 image to A2.

Interesting. How does it compare to something like Genuine Fractals?
