Could this be the same thing I found recently with my Nikon D70 which
stopped naming files in the form DSC_1234.NEF and started naming them
_DSC1234.NEF? Frank Styevko from OZ explained that the name format
changes to indicate the colour space. Check the archives for November for
the subject "D70 file naming"
