Thanks to Geoff and Jay and we seem to be getting somewhere. Interesting though that, in spite of the awesome capabilities of Photoshop et al, there appears to be no easy way of simulating a particular colour temperature in degrees kelvin?
As for why I wanted to do this in the first place, I thought it would be interesting to try and see how some of the paintings in the tombs at the Valley of The Kings might have looked to the people that painted them. I have a notion that some sort of painting by numbers/colour management system must have been in use as the colours would have looked radically different deep underground with only animal fat lanterns as spot light sources.
