Ive had a couple of problems with memory in my Kodak NX
First up was a Micro drive which seemed recorded the RAW files ok but
photodesk and CS
gave me the message that they were the wrong sort of files.
Then Yesterday I nipped down to the studio to do a quick job and forgot the
memory card
but still had the SanDisk Ultra 11 SD card in place which I use to record back
up jpegs
as I work. I switched file type to raw ,shot the job and when I tried to
upload the
computer told me that the files were

"The file or directory is corrupt and unreadable"

Ive tried the Cameras recovery programme to no avail.
I just reshot the job using the microdrive and all is well.
Its extremely worrying to contemplate going on site ,shooting a job and finding
out later
that the files are unreadable.
Ive never actually used the card to upload from before as Ive never needed to
I did try the Sandisk recovery programme but it changed the raw files extension
to tiff
rendering it unreadable anyway.!
Ive a couple of other recovery programmes which I will play with but not being
able to
copy the files to the computer means doing it all on the SD card and will
probably render
it all unreadable anyway .
Then it will be a reformat and try it out again,If it does not work I guess the
camera
will need to be checked over.
