First using the straight line about 2 inches from the edge of the paper tray I carefully aligned the paper edge with this line and then set the paper lever. This gave me a print in which the both the left and right edge of the image were equidistant from the paper edge (no skew). However, the image was not centered on the paper with the Print with Preview Center Image box checked. The default with the box checked was .125. Un-checking the box and setting the left margin to zero gave me an image pretty well centered on the page. On my machine the fixed paper stop on the roll paper spool is slightly mis-positioned. It appears to be permanently pinned to the shaft and cannot be moved. In my case a round shim 1/8 inch thick matching the paper roll ID and OD placed between the roll end and the stop would solve the problem of centering the image. I will probably make such a shim. However if there are units with the stop mis-positioned in the other direction a shim will not work. Al Loeb
