Thanks for the idea. I hadn't quite seen that before. But I just tried it and it doesn't work the way I need. When you choose append it will add any data in the template to empty fields in the selected image. If a field already contains data it is left unchanged. It can see that being very useful in some situations but it doesn't solve my current problem.
