I've been asked to produce two images suitable for a back-lit display. They both need to be around 1.5 metres x 1 metre and they will be illuminated for 8-10 hours per day on a permanent basis. I'm assuming a digitally produced image is now best for this. Any suggestions on the best material that will be resistant to fading? And does anyone know of anyone, or produce such film images themselves?

Wherever you do go I would recommend a 'Duratran' rather than backlit inkjet as I have so far found the Duratran to be well worth the additional expense in terms of quality and probably longevity, although I have not tested the latter.
