I am really happy with the 20D - if, however, you need wider angle shots, a professional body (fully sealed), 4000 (possibly an exaggeration!!!) fps - then the 1DMk2 is probably preferable.
The noise levels from both seem very low.
It might be a question of how strong your 'want glands' are persuading you :-)
