Virginia should be perfect for solar too.

A member on another list just put in a complete solar package for her house.  
After all the
rebates, tax credits, and installation, her total cost was about $11,000.00.  
She expects to break
even in 5 or 6 years.  In NJ, the electric rate goes from about 11 cents a KWH 
to 14 cents a KWH
in the summer, perfect for solar since the sun is must stronger in the summer.  
She is extremely
happy with the results so far.

Think about it, a 6 year payback is a HUGE return on investment over the 25 
years the system is
supposed to last.  All tax free, unless you are selling a lot back to the 
utility.
