Yes, that is a bit of irony. Steve and I made a decision some years back to separate ourselves from the tsunami washing over the evangelicals and go a different route. We've affiliated with a Spiritual Humanist group and expect to start having small meetings a while after our house is complete. We are Christians but have come to the conclusion that we cannot conform to the theology of the local churches. We do work with them and make donations, but will not join them as members.
