Frankly I don't think this guy, MIT professor or not, knows
shit for sure. I'd rather err on the side of caution when it comes
to the environment.

What is interesting is that BP, (British Petroleum), in 1996
resigned from the Gloabal Climate Coalition, which has
ridiculed the science and has sought to undermine the Kyoto
treaty.

BP's CEO said, "The time to consider the policy dimensions
of climate change is not when the link between greenhouse
gases and climate change is conclusively proven, but when the
possibility cannot be discounted and is taken seriously by the
society of which we are part. We in BP have reached that point."

BP took Kyoto to heart and since instituting Kyoto reductions
in its operations, BP has seen cost savings of over $1.4 billion
dollars.

So here's a company that decided to be responsible and
found out along the way that doing the right thing actually
made them money rather than costing them money.
