Too bad they don't spend some time on quality instead of the way it looks.
Compare it to Linux or Apple. Windows is garbage. The
only reason that it exists is because of the monopoly.

Yesterday I had to call the Indians 2 times (the call to India was dropped the
first time after I had entered all the numbers) Why
do I have to 'activate' XP after upgrading the hard drive? This copy of XP is
registered to me. Why is it that I have to call, be
placed on hold for 15 minutes and enter a 100 digit number to get a new 100
digit number? All this does is harass their clients.
There is absolutely no need for it. When you activate over the Internet, they
get the product key and an IP. If I try to activate
the code 3 times in one year with the same IP I think they could reasonably
assume that his is not a counterfeit code and it more
than likely due to a computer upgrade. Also, they could probably get some kind
of number from the CPU & hard drive so they could
even tell that it is the same computer with a different hard drive. Surely the
largest, richest software company in the world could
do something to stop hassling obvious legal users. Those calls must cost M$
something. They could probably even increase their
bottom line some more with some intelligence in the software.

I always love how new versions of Windows distinguish themselves by
not looking/working the same as the previous versions, yet Windows
users whine about hard it is to use Linux because it doesn't look or
work exactly like Windows does!

Why would anyone want to switch to the Vista look when XP was
supposedly such an improvement over 2000?
