Ed, I've had all the Beta's on my machine now for about 4 months and I can say thatapart from the eye candy, which is very nice by the way, I can't see ANY reason to upgrade from XP or even 2K. Certainly debugging the last 1% (or more) errors out of it won't be done until SP1 arrives after about 6 months which is par for the course.
As for me, my favourite platform(s) are 2K and Linux (Ubuntu) and I'll keep using them especially as the latter keeps maturing with every release. Nobody argues that point. The problem is announcing a ship date that you can't possibly meet in order to manipulate the market. How many of those software subscription licenses do you think they would have sold if they said that they had no idea how long it would be until the next version was ready? Also, what is left in the new version bears little resemblance to what was announced. Except for the eye candy, most of the truly revolutionary changes were shelved. They aren't getting it right; they're just not doing it at all. -- Ed Leafe -- http://leafe.com -- http://dabodev.com [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: ProFox@leafe.com Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
