I know my viewpoints are unpopular among evangelicals. They all talk to each other exclusively to the point that they no longer can see how silly some of the "taken-for-granted-reality" ideas they think are set in stone really are. Just for a few of them: 1) fornication did not make it to the "big 10" on the commandments list 2) there is no commandment about lying. It is bearing false witness, which is not the same as lying. IMO, white lies are not sinful and in some cases are required to be kind 3) abortion is not mentioned in the bible 4) homosexuality is not on the "big 10" list either 5) honor your father and mother IS on the "big 10" but many people ignore it 6) the Trinity is not in the Bible I am so sick of all the self-righteous nonsense. I quoted Micah 6:8 to our fundamentalist chiropractor a couple of weeks ago as something that Steve and I have adopted as our watch-words to TRY to live by... Do Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly. He TRIED to give me a tract explaining how nobody could live right so don't try and just pray about it... What a crock! Christians don't even have goals to help them live a righteous life? Since when? Anyway, that's the end of today's rant from me. I am a 100% Christian, but I don't even recognize the evangelical "say magic words, do nothing" theologies that are being bandied about these days. - Kris www.shamrocktrails.com, www.mcstyles.com, www.emryldlife.com _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: ProFox@leafe.com Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
