Nope, but I'm watching. It seems that with a terabyte disk drive going
for $40 (or something like that), you could get more than 100GB for a
reasonable amount. I'd be looking at backing up 400-500 GB, for example,
although I guess I'm kind of a packrat.
That seems like a lot of stuff to have to push up through an internet
connection.
But I'm one of those "I got a lotta stuff" kinda guys. :)

And are you looking for a _backup_ solution or a replica of your data?
The initial load would be a complete mirror of every piece of garbage
that's collected here on the servers at Hentzenwerke InterGalactic since
1989. Well, actually, even a few WordPerfect and WKS files from before
then.
A backup should have chronological recovery, so you can recover the
file from last Tuesday before you messed it up on Wednesday.
That's why Adam Green invented ZIP files. The Sloppy, Lazy,
Neandrathalian-Intelligent Man's way to backup. "Aw, hell, I'll just zip
up the whole source code directory, rename it with today's date, and
slam it up side MyWonderfulOnlineBackup.com's head.
I've got a client with about 75 G of files stored on their file
server. They worked with their hosting provider to add another disk at
the hosting site. We plan to bring a portable disk onsite and copy all
of the files, move it to the hosting provider, dump it onto their
disk, and set the hosting provider's disk with replication via ssh and
rsync. Most of the documents are fairly static, so diffs each night
should be manageable.
I've got 76 GB. 76.1, actually. So there.
Seriously, I guess I could do that. But that would mean I'd have to get
my fat a$$ out of my chair, which I'm not inclined to do unless there's
a jelly donut at the other end of the trip.

entertainment value on a weekend when the Packers, Brewers or Bucks are
playing. Er, "playing".)
