That's reciting, not thinking. Try imagining how building a better world - and then spreading word of that world through that region - would have influenced the behavior of people who live there. Now imagine the opposite, going into that region with guns blazing, shooting down anyone who looks us wrong, believes in things we don't understand, or just gets in the way.
