Right, and the Republican guard was going to stop us at the gates of
Baghdad and take 10,000 of our troops in the first couple weeks
alone. Everything is impossible when you don't want to do it.

Before we go any further Robert just remember that China can easely
sustain lossses in manpower greater than the entire US army - maybe
even on a daily basis lol -
And remember they have a few nukes too...

Which is why we need missile defense, but I'll leave that argument for another thread...

To accept your point and raise another: they also have us by the balls trade-wise. I'm not naive about the points you mention, nor do I have any warm places in the cockles of my heart for the ChiComs as "allies" of any kind. Frankly, the political establishment here in DC going back several decades has put us in a ridiculous position geopolitically where the Chinese are concerned.

Would China risk nuclear war with us to save Dear Leader's ass? I doubt it. I wouldn't be surprised if they take him out and save the rest of the world the heartache, because he's a loose cannon for them and his current shananigans---assuming they aren't being directed by Beijing in some kind of Sun Tzu move against us---will ultimately threaten the stability of the one-way "free trade" umbilical cord syphoning capital from our system and dumping it in party leadership pockets with almost no protest from either political party in America.

There will come a time Americans will be willing to forego trade with China even if that means we have to fire up our own factories again and leave Walmart shelves bare for awhile, and sooner than not the Dear Leaders and Mullahs of the world will hasten that moment. Without our cash they can't feed that massive expendable army you describe, let alone the entire chinese population.
