You said "aloof", which is just a nicer word than "uppity". President Obama is black. Many Republicans and Democrats in congress, as well as ordinary citizen around the country, think president Obama has no business being in the White House for that reason alone. Making such a big deal over something so inconsequential, as whether President Obama mistakenly use the phrase “E pluribus unum”, and then demanding an acknowledgement and apology from President Obama, makes me wonder. Bringing up a resolution in the House of Representative to affirm the USA motto, "In God We Trust", was a vulgar display of power by the Republican Party, that currently control the House. Frankly, the lack of respect the Republicans have shown for the office of the Presidency is disgusting.
