I'll be sure to look at the second XP machine to see if IP V6 is on it. SMB 2 would only be on the Windows 7 machine. One added note. The problem does not occur on every file. It is usually the smaller files that are accessed it quick spurts. It could very well be the RLOCK() that makes it start.
