I had the ugly buffer overrun appear on the same computer it appeared on
a while back. Looking in the archives it was a problem with a jpg and
the visual c++ runtime. This time the application opens. Opens up the
tables and then halts with a buffer overrun detected. I am pretty sure
it is in VFP9 because visual c++ is not mentioned this time. I googled
around and found a patch to gdiplus, but when I try to apply the patch
it says it can't find the gdiplus to patch. Googling also had a
solution from our vary own Tracy that said something about an invalid
environmental variable.
I installed vfp9 and all of my source code on the computer and
recompiled the exe. Same results.
I believe that vfp is finding a bad gdiplus and the one that is supposed
to be there can't be found. This points to Tracy's solution. I have no
idea which environmental variable could be incorrect.
I also believe that the problem is occurring when a view is being
created. The reason I think that is that after the program shuts down
there is a .cdx with zero bytes in the temp folder with no matching dbf.
Any ideas?
