Well, I think the optimal technique is to create the message as a text
file, saved to disk in a unique folder/filename combination, like
Errors/datetime-random-number.txt and then try to send the message in a
TRY... CATCH. It goes, good, it doesn't ignore it.

Or as one of my favorite project rescues said, ON ERROR *
