I'm not making a suggestion but asking questions for my own benefit :-) I don't know Python but hope to get a Raspberry Pi for Christmas and get into it that way. I've used an excellent utility called PyCron which uses Python to emulate a cron job which appears to be totally stand-alone.
1. If I wrote a small Python program, perhaps to split large files into manageable chunks, would it be stand-alone or would I need to include libraries (similar to the VFP libraries)? 2. Would I be able to run this program from within VFP using the RUN command?
