Yep, whether they like it or not, if the audio plays through your computer 
speakers,
it can sure be redigitized to whatever format you want. If it were me I'd use 
flac or
ogg instead of mp3 though.

In my opinion you want to get pretty close to the metal for this. Apple and 
Microsoft
go out of your way to keep you from being able to record stuff streaming 
through your
computer. Sure, there are apps, but you'll be better off with Linux.

I'm going to leave it there, with no specifics, because I think you should 
explore on
your own, and I'm no expert.
