They did something similar with Flight Simulator X, locking it down to two "activations". Problem is that crowd that is ALWAYS upgrading their hardware looking for more performace, and will ben forced to 'activate' frequently.
Most hardcore FlightSimmers I know are staying with FS2004 because of that very reason. That and it runs like a pig on most systems<G>, but it can be toned down to get decent performance. Thankfully I bought a new laptop before Vista came out. It is 'Vista capable', but I'm in no hurry to see what that means....
