It seems that most of the local phone companies (like Cox here) are
using voip instead of a 'true land line' like in the 'old days'. voip
won't work with standard fax machines.

At the Corporate day gig, our fax machine hasn't been working due to a
problem with Verizon (don't get me started on how much they
absolutely, most definitely SUCK), and I suggested it's time we look
into an electronic fax service like maxemail.com.
As for integration, I was thinking one time of such a "Fax proposal to
client?" kind of feature in FabMate. Ted -- are you using BLAT to
execute the SMTP email?
Thanks for the replies!

Maxemail is an integral part of one of our vertical niche packages.
We've
been using it for a decade now from clients all over the country with
few
problems and extremely rare outages. Their tech support is excellent. We
email (SMTP good, MAPI bad, trust me on this) complex multi-page
documents
in HTML format and they render flawlessly. Can't recommend them too
highly.

Hi guys,
I used http://www.maxemail.com/ over a decade ago. Loved it. I'm
looking for what you're using today as your fax service and whether
or not
you recommend them.
Thanks!
