Big props to Rick Schummer for passing on this link to a utility from Alaska software that addresses the problems that VFP and other applications run into when:
-- workstation is Vista or Win7 or later (note, I didn't say "better" :) -- data is stored on a Server 2008 or later file server -- application is checking file size, last update date or file existence. The small installation file is located here: http://www.alaska-software.com/community/smb2.cxp I have read of other solutions to force SMB2 to behave in a compatible manner. I'd be interested to hear if this helps folks running into problems. -- Ted Roche Ted Roche & Associates, LLC http://www.tedroche.com _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/CACW6n4tkzjDppVRA07DcXK1RVt=ci4dTh3PKgcvCj03sat=j...@mail.gmail.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
