Well, that could be a problem. I've got legacy Linux servers deployed
at client sites with older Samba servers, working fine for years.

Looks like I'll have to look at upgrade options.

The Windows Update is free, but the cost to support it, maybe not so much.

I wonder what happens with NAS boxes with the OS in firmware, or
not-so-well-supported. Maybe SOL there.
