Apparently it's $675 *per year* for 'enterprise basic' processor licence (whatever that is) - I don't like the fact that the pricing structure isn't more open (not that ms SQL Server is much clearer). iirc mySQL used to have a one-off licence at around $400 - I wonder if their revenue stream has actually improved with the new structure.
