The rebuttal speech to Bush's State of the Union said that CEO's now earn 400 times what the average American worker earns. In other words the average CEO earns in one day what the average America takes all year to earn. The Economist magazine says the number is 110 times. I would believe the magazine over the Democrat any day.
I wouldn't mind the pay if the CEO built up a proportional value in the corporation but the reverse is often true.
