Here in the UK I would *never* buy extended warranty on *anything* - it's a rip off! And if I had a pc crap out after 2 years I'd return it as 'unfit for purpose' under the sale of goods act (also a good reason to buy it on a credit card cos' it's easier to claim off the card issuer).
