Paul & John,
I forgot to add that the non professional version of Monarch does just that
i.e it reads the PDF file as a text file so it is still possible to
import/export as DBF as long as the document "table" format of the data is
regular.

Paul,
The latest version of Monarch will for it for you no problem as long as you
choose the Professional version. The standard version DOESN'T support PDF's
