Leland,

No, I'm basing my conclusions on Dr. Lori K. Fenton (PhD in Planetary
Science) who is a Principle Investigator for NASA.

You can find out more about her here:

Your basing your conclusions on the assumptions of Dr David Whitehouse,
but I base my belief on the vast majority of the Scientific community
that were specifically asked to study the problem, and concluded with a

greater than 90% probability that human pollution increasing the
atmosphere's greenhouse effect was responsible for global warming.

I will use and analogy to help you understand why the green house effect

is probably causing global warming. During the winter time I add a
blanket to my bed to help keep me warm. The blank traps the warm air
under the blanket to keep it close to my body. To add additional
warmth, I can add another blanket. I believe the CO2 in the atmosphere
is somehow interacting with other chemical elements to increase the
green house effect which is causing the planet to warm. It could be the

CO2 allow more radiation from the sun to reach the surface of the earth,

or it may interact with other particales in the atmosphere increasing
the green house effect. There could be any number of factors that are
interacting with each other to cause the problem of global warming
including the sun, dust and other solid particles of pollution emited
into the atmosphere, a gigantic amount of CO2 dumped into the
atmosphere, a decrease in planet life and increase in asphalt and other
desert like surfaces, over population of earth, etc. It is not exactly
clear how CO2 is interacting with other things to contribute to the
green house effect, but since we have greatly changed the balance of
matter that makes up the upper atmosphere by dumping heaps of CO2 into
it, CO2 has to be a prime suspect of global warming.

The Green House Effect:

Without the greenhouse effect, scientists estimate that the temperature
on earth would fall to 100 degrees below zero Fahrenheit and the oceans
would freeze. The greenhouse effect is essential to the survival of life

on earth. The global warming theorists are worried about a runaway
greenhouse effect that they presume to have occurred on the planet Venus

resulting in extremely high estimated temperatures on that planet.

I think Dr David Whitehouse's last name say everything I need to know
about his assumptions. <g>
