Hi Virgil! Providing legal counsel to a guilty but presumed innocent person is a constitutionally protected activity, hardly unscrupulous. If the lawyer were bringing the perp drugs in jail, that would be unscrupulous. Now you think about what YOU just said. You are on trial, you are innocent but your lawyer decides that you are guilty and dumps you. Wouldn't everyone else ask "Why did his lawyer dump him?" What kind of a fair trial do you get then? You are innocent, remember? But cheer up, You might get a nice cell.
