How about :-

PrintScreen - Captures whole desktop to clipboard.
Alt+PrintScreen just captures current application on top to clipboard.

Or,

Create a new shortcut on the desktop just with "mailto:"; in the
properties - then assign hotkey such as ctrl+alt+m.

Then whenever you wait to compose a new email, just hit ctrl+alt+m.
