McCain is a real American hero. His stay at the Hanoi Hilton, while being subjected to recordings of John Kerry slandering him and his fellow POWs, can never be fully repaid by his country.
He is notorious, however, for his extreme temper. But he gets a pass on that. I'm sure anyone would have anger management issues after being tortured by the Gooks for six years.
