thats what annoys me. Its my dvd player I should be able to control it not
be controlled.
Looking on a wiki it says many software players bypass the flag, but it
depends if the dvd has the formatting to have next or not which the produces
are not putting in to force you to watch the credits. At least video could
not stop fast forward.

I use Power DVD which came with my laptop and does everything I want.  Some
commercial DVDs will not allow you to fast forward during certain sections,
particularly during the trailers for other films.
