If no Democratic Party nominee gets the required 2025 delegates, then
the Democratic nominee for president and the party platform, will be
worked out at the Democratic National Convention. The candidate that
goes into the Democratic National Convention with the most momentum
would have the advantage.

The superdelegates, (eg unpledged party leader and elected official
delegates), are free to support any candidate for the nomination.
Having the superdelegates bound to the results of each state's results
would defeat their purpose, and just make the superdelegates
unnecessary; since, they would simple be ratifying the results of the
state voters. The Democratic National Convention is shaping up to be a
very exciting event and would probably be fun to attend. I'll probably
follow The Democratic National Convention very closely on TV. The
Republican National Convention will likely be very boring.

The Republican Party also seats some party officials as delegates
without regard to primary or caucus results, but the term
"superdelegate" is most commonly applied only in the Democratic Party.
