I don't understand the uproar about the super delegates. Obama is the guy
that first made a fuss about the "will of the people" being thwarted. Each
of these delegates is a prominent Democrat selected for their judgment in
furtherance of the party. They are deliberately each given the same voice as
each elected delegate for the very purpose of ensuring that a solid
selection is made.

Each party gets to decide how their candidates will be selected. The nominee
is NOT elected in a straight-out primary, by the choice of the party. The
nominee is decided according to the rules set out by the party. The voters
get a voice, and the party "elite" gets a voice. That's how it was set up.
Changing specific rules that favor a specific candidate is actually pretty
sneaky.

Obama's people say out of one side of their face that the "rules" must be
obeyed when it comes to seating the Florida delegates... Then the other side
of their face says that the super delegates should be subordinate to the
elected delegates.

Isn't it cute that one of the newest guys on the national party scene
decides he gets to rule on the validity of the rules of the party after the
fact.
