Hello Malcolm,

I've been using textdrive.com (now Joyent.com) since Aug 2004. In Dec 2005,
I signed up for lifetime hosting at textdrive.com. I get 2GB storage, 10
domains, 10GB bandwidth/month) for as long as TextDrive exists for a
one-time fee of $399. At the time they were charging $25 per month for the
same level. Soon after I paid for the service, they merged with Joyent.
Joyent has continued to honour the deal. Not sure if Joyent will now give
the same or a similar deal. As of now, I'm ahead about $250 and add $25 of
savings each month, so if the provider goes, I think I made a good deal.

Today, some of their prices are in the hundreds and thousands per month,
however they offer a lot more for that kind of change. I think the lowest
price is $45 per month ($450 per year) but you get 10TB bandwidth and 5 GB
storage. Not sure how many domains it covers.

Initially, answers to the help requests were almost instantaneous. Since the
Joyent merger, some requests have taken a few days. I may have hit the help
desk at the wrong times.

You may want to contact customer service at bluehost.com to see it they will
be upgrading to Python 2.5.1 soon. It's worth a try. They want to be on the
leading edge for innovation. My brother found them quick to respond to his
requests.

On TextDrive, I'm using 3 domains basically for e-mails and very little
traffic to the websites, so I may be better off to go to bluehost.com if the
traffic increases.

Al
